Pastor Dave’s Appreciation & Farewell potluck is today at 5:00pm. in the Gathering Place.  Please plan to join us as our congregation supports Pastor Dave and wishes our dear friend well as he moves on to a new chapter in his life.  Could you stay to help us move chairs and tables after the 8:30 worship?

Church Council News: A SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING has been called for next Sunday, January 17^th, following one worship service at 9:30, for the purpose of voting for LCM to withdraw from the ELCA or to remain in the ELCA.  It is Council’s hope that the issues that have caused such a struggle for our members will be resolved by this vote, so that we can all concentrate on our mission and ministry for people in need throughout our community!

Ministry Team & Council Meetings are this Wednesday evening with Ministry Teams meeting at 6pm & Council at 7pm.

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. between worship services to conduct the congregation’s business of electing Congregation Council members and adopting a budget for our ministry plan.

Attention Ministry Teams, Outreach Programs & Committee Leaders: The Congregational Annual Report needs to be printed and in our congregation’s mailboxes next Sunday, so members can review the report prior to the Annual meeting.  Your team’s ministry projects and activities need to be represented in the Annual Report so that you continue to receive the volunteers and support needed throughout the year.  If you haven’t done so already, please submit your reports to the church office NO LATER THAN TODAY to be included in this publication.

Food Items – The CDA Food Bank is desperate for food to help feed the hungry in our area.  Our food carts here allow you to bring in donations for Food Bank shelves.  Thanks for your help!
