Update on SBA Disaster Loan taken out by Summit Christian Academy: An Identity Theft Fraud Claim was filed with the SBA. A letter has been sent to the Board of Summit Christian Academy outlining the situation and why we filed the fraud claim.
Background from the September Newsletter: In August 2020 we became aware of a $150,000 SBA Disaster Loan that was taken out by Summit Christian Academy (formerly LAM Christian Academy). The loan was issued with Lutheran Church of the Master as the business name. All other information including the Employer ID number was for Summit Christian Academy. For the past year we have worked with Dan Makowski (school principal) to get the name changed with the SBA. We have been assured by the SBA that we are not liable for the loan. There is still no resolution and we have been advised by the SBA to file an Identity Theft Fraud Claim. At our August Council Meeting we voted to file the fraud claim.
